I really disliked this video! Others may differ, so **1.5 stars** from me. As for the acting, there are at least two heavy hitters here, in Claire Goose and Lee Ingleby. For me, they were given a tough job, as were the others. I noticed, mainly, a couple destroying themselves and their child, and seemingly knowing no other way. They seemed to have a long history of this and it was so entrenched it needed little or no help. The third "bad egg" was just using their dysfunctionality, as a catalyst uses a chemical reaction, to meet her own ends, destructive as they were to her, as well. I and my partner of 40 years have just disbanded, and I am willing to admit that could affect my reactions, but only that it could....but we were rarely as CONSTANTLY bad as these two; as hopelessly bound up in a history of apparent hate. I spent most of the time gasping in horror and indignation at the script. I know people that _**are**_ this dysfunctional, and some of them have children. But to me it's like nature shows on TV, where everything tears at, harries, and kills each other: I know it's there, but there is only so much I can watch without getting basically bored. Every interaction was doomed before it started: the parents could not talk without blaming and sniping, and the daughter would always play the pity card, as teens do.It was made easier for her as far as I am concerned. So for me (I managed to watch 1/2 the third episode), what could have been an interesting=, exciting pshychological thriller, instead was just a back-biting blamefest. I nearly threw the screen ut the window, so I ceased watching. I do not know how the series ends, but to me letting the daughter go, hopefully with at least hope in her heart so as to not ruin the next generation's lives, would be the kindest way for it to go.
