Biography Born in Santo André, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo , she is the daughter of sales supervisor José Monteiro Alves and housewife Maria Aparecida Lima Alves. She returned to her parents' house in Santo André , but after three months she decided to live alone in São Paulo . She chose to stop studying Social Communication, which was closed, and started studying Advertising , but she did not complete the course, and continued on the theater course to try to get into a soap opera one day. At that time, she was already traveling around the country acting in plays. [ 6 ] In 1998, Regiane passed a test, and made her first soap opera , Fascinação , with a starring role, on SBT . She was highly praised, convincing television critics that she could do other soap operas and would have chances for growth.
