Dayne Hudson

Born 1987 · Sydney, Australia

Dayne Hudson is a film director, writer and producer who began his film career acting at 12 years of age; cast alongside Academy Award Nominated Actor Richard E. Grant in the Australian film "Hildegarde." Dayne went on to star in Home and Away together with Chris Hemsworth, and numerous other Australian TV shows. With this insatiable passion for the film industry ignited at such a young age, Dayne's first film was a feature documentary about a man's experience of child abuse. Titled "Heart Of The Sea," the film was aired by National Geographic and the Ten Network across 42 countries. Dayne's subsequent short films have been selected by Academy® accredited & BAFTA recognized festivals, as he works on his slate of feature films. Those short films include "A Place To Go", telling the story of a cowboy who embarks on a physical and spiritual journey to reconnect with his dead father, and the short documentary "Halfway." "Halfway", tells the unbelievable true story of Mad Max and Mortal Kombat actor CJ Bloomfield, who suffered a childhood of abuse before becoming the leader of a notorious outlaw motorcycle gang. After being jailed for a stabbing, CJ discovered a passion for acting behind bars. This led to him turning his life around and starring in Mad Max alongside Hollywood royalty Chris Hemsworth. Prior to "Halfway", Dayne's short Covid-19 documentary film about the sounds of Sydney in lock down, titled "Sounds of a City", attracted Hollywood interest for usage, and was deemed a piece of historical significance by the City Of Sydney council who archived it for all time. Following his journalism degree, Dayne began his filmmaking career after working as a Radio producer and reporter at Sydney's number-one radio station, 2GB. Close collaborators say he has the passion and energy of "ten people", and he's wed to, and intrigued by, the endless possibilities of cinema. - Mini Biography By: Md. Safayet Ullah
