In 2022, Ayem made his directorial debut with the award winning film, The Stationary Bike (2022). The film was based on a Stephen King short story. Ayem not only directed; he also produced and adapted the screenplay. The film premiered at Raleigh Studios on October 28, 2022. "The Stationary Bike" had a successful film festival season (2022 - 2023) receiving nominations and winning for best film. Ayem Walters continues to be active in film.
