She played the character Kader in the TV series Beni Affet, which was filmed in Ankara, for nine seasons starting from 2011. In 2013, she married actor Osman Karakoç. She was recognized for her success as Nursema, the thirty-year-old religious daughter of a wealthy and conservative family who was educated but did not participate in working life. The events that started when the character in the series was pushed out of a window while fleeing from the rape of the man she was forced to marry and her rebellion against her family attracted great attention in the press and on social media. Karakoç revealed in a television program that many women have shared similar incidents with her since the forced marriage scene.
