Over his career, Nejati has served as a jury member at international festivals, including the Dhaka International Short Film Festival, Izmir Film Festival, and Tehran International Short Film Festival and continues to contribute to the industry by mentoring younger filmmakers. Nejati is also known as the founder and chairman of the Iran Open-Air International Film Festival.
