Murillo Campos is a Brazilian filmmaker born in São Paulo, with a journey shaped by multicultural experiences and a deep connection to stories that explore the human side of relationships. A graduate of Cambridge AICE Psychology, Murillo blends his understanding of the human mind with a sensitive approach to cinematic storytelling. As the author of "Os Contos de Carpas, Aguadeiros e Alacraus", a work that showcases his ability to create rich, emotionally charged worlds, Murillo has found in film a platform to expand his artistic reach. His life experiences in the United States have enriched his global perspective, enabling him to connect with diverse audiences through stories that bridge the intimate and the universal. With "Anchorless" ("À Beira do Cais"), Murillo brings to the screen a deeply personal story inspired by his own experiences, delving into the complexities of love, youth, and personal growth. Influenced by independent productions, especially those from A24, he strives to create works that are visually striking and emotionally resonant.
