Stewart Sparke

Stewart Sparke a writer, director and producer specializing in horror feature film and interactive storytelling. After completing a BA in Film & TV Production in 2010 and an MA in Directing Film in 2012, he worked as a freelancer in the UK film and TV industry for three years on projects including BBC's Blue Peter and the London 2012 Olympic Games. During this time, Stewart was also head of live action production at Glass Cannon, a production company specializing in educational video content for the UK Heritage sector. The company earned a Royal Television Society Award Nomination for its work on the WW1 short film series Loss & Legacy: The Tolson Story in 2013. In 2015 Stewart co-founded Dark Rift Horror, a multimedia studio that creates relentlessly entertaining, immersive horror experiences. Since the company launched, Dark Rift Horror have produced and sold two commercially successful feature films, The Creature Below (2016) and Book of Monsters (2018), both produced and directed by Stewart. A third feature film titled How to Kill Monsters is now in post-production, alongside a tie-in video game, due for release in 2023.
