In 1994, she was cast as Zo'or in Earth: Final Conflict. Zo'or was an androgynous alien who was a member of the alien race known as the Taelons. La Selva's performance as Zo'or was praised by critics, and she won a Gemini Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1996. La Selva has continued to work in television and film since Earth: Final Conflict. She has appeared in a number of other television shows, including Street Legal (2000-2001), The L Word (2004), and Rookie Blue (2010-2015). She has also appeared in a number of films, including Mommy's Prison Secret (2017) and The Perfect Husband (2018). In addition to her acting career, La Selva is also a singer and songwriter. She has released two albums, Anita La Selva (2004) and The Way I Feel (2010).
