You Know It's Garbage When The Series Ages Poorly Before It Even Premiered "The Prince" Is A 2021 Animated "Satirical Comedy" That Premiered On HBO Max On July 29, 2021. It's Created By Gary Janetti, A Former Crew Member On "Family Guy", Which Is Probably The Reason Why This Series Gives Off Family Guy Vibes (Basically, Family Guy Except It's Based On A Real Family) The Series Focuses On Prince George (Yes, An Actual, Real **Child**) And The Wacky Shenanigans He Faces As A Member Of The British Royal Family. Just By Hearing The Premise Itself, I Knew The Series Was Gonna Be Garbage. You Can Satirize The Royal Family All You Want, But The Kids? Really? Are You Gonna Sloop That Low? Like, If The Real Prince George Saw This, He Would Be Horrified. This Literally Makes Him Look Like A Cringe Bootleg Of Stewie Griffin! The Series Tries To Be Funny, When Even The Concept Of It's Comedy Is Stupid. "What If The Royal Family Wasn't So Classy, And Said Bad Words?" Is A Stupid Concept, And It's Already Been Done Countless Other Times With Other Historical Figures In Better Pieces Of Media. For Example, "What If The Founding Fathers Swore And Sung A Lot?" Is Done Right In Lin Manuel-Miranda's "Hamilton", But The Swearing There Was Limited And Sometimes Censored, So It Wouldn't Get Annoying. Here, The Royal Family Would Swear In Most Of Their Sentences, Especially Prince George (Which Is Weird Because He Was **7** When This Series Premiered) And Queen Elizabeth II Besides It's Annoying Swearing, Most Of The "Comedy" In This Series Are Jokes That Are Beyond Unfunny. In My Opinion, The Most Disrespectful Jokes They Did Were Towards Prince Philip. For Those Who Don't Know, When This Series Was Originally Supposed To Premiere, Prince Philip Passed Away At 99, So They Delayed The Premiere For About A Month. But The Only Joke They Made About Him In The Actual Series Was "Lol He Looks Like A Corpse Lol". Like Do You Have No Shame?! Okay Sure, Maybe It's A Little Disrespectful For Me To Review This Garbage After Queen Elizabeth's Death And Funeral, But I Was Actually Going To Review This Before She Died, But Then She Died So I Postponed. And Besides The Awful "Prince Philip Looks Like He's Almost Dead Lmfao" Jokes, The Rest Of The Jokes Are Just Awful. Some Were Good, Like The Joke Were Philip Finds The Play About Homeless Children Suffering A Comedy, But Most Of Them Didn't Make Me Laugh, They Just Made Me Lose Braincells What About The Animation? Yeah... It's Just The Boring And Generic Adult Animated Sitcom Art Style You See In Family Guy Clones Everywhere. They Made The Adults In The Family Caricatures, Except They Just Look Uncanny, Especially With Meghan (She Looks Like A Kardashian). The Only Accurate Caricature Is Camila, Who Looks Like A Horse Both In The Series And In Real Life (Hey, My Grandma Said This, Not Me) Overall, This Series Sucks And I'm Glad It's Canceled, It's Just As Dead As Queen Liz. This Is Legitimately One Of The Most Unfunny "Comedies" I've Ever Seen, And This Is Coming From Somebody Who's Watched Both Seasons Of Emily In Paris Do I Recommend It – Well, No. But If You Enjoy Sh*tty And Unfunny Adult Animated Sitcoms, Then You'll Just Love This One! (Seriously Just Watch The Crown, It's Not A Comedy But It's A Far Superior Series When It Comes To Telling The Story Of The Royal Family And Queen Elizabeth's Reign)
